We often tend to think that addicts are criminals and we usually forget that addiction is a serious illness. All they need is treatment! We blame them for getting into drugs and not wanting to quit but how would they quit when the access to a medical treatment is a scam in many countries. Dealing with it the way tunisia did, punishing them, shaming them, giving them criminal records and in other countries like china giving them a death sentence, is not the right way. Drug users are afraid to go and ask for help, whether because it's a religious or cultural taboo or because there is no help offered for them, we came to understand through the numerous focus groups we led that this community is persecuted. The reality is that while anyone in the world can become addicted to drugs, everyone does not have equal access to drug rehab programs. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone needs a second chance to take over their life. Yet, that is not what's happening in the world and that frustrates us. It is the case of the 250M person living with addiction worldwide, according to the UN on drug and crime. With 5/6 person not accessing the proper medical care they need. Vsober : Virtual Reality rehabilitation center is the solution. We offer an anonymous, affordable and accessible platform that brings the proper health care services to the patients' homes.
