VEHICE (Veterinary Histopathology Center) was established in 2014 in Chile and in 2020 in Scotland. The company has been developing services based in histopathology that offer to the aquaculture industry to solve their health related problems. Through studies and analysis focused at cellular level, identifying causes, effects, and level of damage we have carried out different studies such as gill monitoring, diet evaluation, deformities studies, short operculum, skin evaluation, melanosis monitoring, toxicology, among others. With those analyses we have helped customers from the aquaculture industry worldwide to take preventive and corrective measures for the development of sustainable aquaculture. VEHICE has an international team of professionals, specialists in histopathology, morphology and advanced pathology. Our founder is Carlos Sandoval, DVM, MSc with more than 20 years of experience in histopathology (one of the most recognized histopathologists in Chile). Dr. Hugh Ferguson is the International Director, with more than 40 years of experience in aquaculture pathology and is considered a worldwide reference in fish pathology. Our goal is to make our experience and knowledge available to contribute to improve the health status, welfare and sustainability of the aquaculture industry.
