Veggie Swap is an online harvest exchange for home gardeners. The platform works by allowing members to list their excess home-grown produce, and swap with others in their area. Veggie Swap has a range of community features, such as blogs, chat, profiles and photos. The "business" area of the site allows local cafes and restaurants to engage with local diners and tap into an "ultra local" food supply. Schools can also maintain a presence to help create a bridge between school gardening activities and the home. The site was developed in Australia, but has a global footprint.
