Current and currently planned BCIs are either very low resolution, unidirectional, or invasive - often all three. This greatly limits their therapeutic potential, let alone their use to enhance human capabilities or as an interface to simulated realities. TransAxon Ltd will revolutionise human use of computation, communications and AI through a technology pathway based on current and near-future neuro-engineering advances combined with deep learning algorithms. Our NZ-centred international team of experts in neuroscience and cognitive AI will solve the big problem of highly-augmentative BCIs, rapidly surpassing other nearer-term and less ambitious technologies and products.
