The Student Cloud demystifys cloud computing and delivers essential file sync and backup to the cutting edge generation of students. Integrating the innovative core storage system with any web enabled device through a rich web interface, The Student Cloud provides a flexible and productive platform for members to share and collaborate on files and projects. The Student Cloud was founded in 2011 by Thom Seddon whilst studying at the University Of Leeds, after the realisation that although IT and data is at the core of any modern students studies, no system was really developed to focus on these specific and unique needs. The Student Cloud remains completely bootstrapped and entered live testing towards the close of 2011, with an anticipated launch mid 2012.
