Speximo develops an emulsifier based on starch grain from quinoa. Applications are in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food industries. With Speximo's technology you can produce creams and ointments with a completely green profile. Speximo AB is a research based company providing competence and a patented emulsifying technology for oil-water based products. The lab continuously solves formulation problems and explores new applications. Since 2013 the headquarter and R&D facilities are placed at Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden. Speximo offers green and sustainable stabilization of emulsions. The technology provides opportunities ranging from stabilization of surfactant free systems to encapsulation of high value ingredients. Speximo was founded by the world leading experts in starch Pickering emulsions and has close collaboration with researchers from Lund University and Malmö University exploring the fundamental properties of the technology and its use in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food applications.
