On a mission to help the World Embrace Play – DXTR Labs is creating the Worlds Smartest Building Blocks in an effort to digitise real world play and unlock the untapped potential of data captured through pure play. Play is the brains favourite way of learning and staying healthy, and that's why we're bringing Big Data into play. We believe that play is the key to both brain development, brain training, cognitive assessment, and stimulating neuro plasticity – but we don't believe in screens as the only medium for interacting with the digital world and capturing data. By embedding each single building block with sensors, battery, wireless communication, and lights, we are creating an interface for digital interaction, based on the most fundamental toy of them all; the building blocks. The first product being released, and currently in private beta, is playDXTR. Aimed at the smart milennial parent who already embraces technology, and who wants a greater insight into the development of their child – as well as an educational and developmental tool for schools, institutions, and organisations, who are ready to move beyond mobile. These institutions are ready for assessing children through something far more natural than standardised tests and exams – pure play! Play is natures way of teaching – so let's start learning!
