Crowded training space, awkward stares from others, sweat marks and drops everywhere are things in the past. And now, imagine being immersed in the perfect harmony of space, hygiene and privacy for every single workout of yours with your favourite personal trainer... Every session might just become the highlight of your day! And that's what we do at MOVE Private Fitness. After having served numerous personal training clients who were self conscious about how they looked and moreover every move they made in the gym, co founder Justin Foo decided to create a space that was non intimidating, inviting and inspiring at the same time. He believed that the conventional gym set up had created a high barrier to entry for many people who felt they "weren't quite there yet" with their body and exercise experience and the presence of frequent onlookers hanging around the gym floor, sweat marks and drops everywhere and the need to side step with every turn they took weren't the most appealing environment to build interests and confidence. He has enrolled at least 25+ team members all over Malaysia to join him on this journey to scale this business which is impactful beyond measure due to its results driven approach to attract, acquire and retain clients who value close up and personalized guidance from personal trainers. In less than 2 years time, 3 new branches were created with a proven funding, recruitment process and scaling mechanism. Another 4 more branches are pending for year 2022 and the goal is to hit at least 40 branches in Malaysia by 2027 while working on Asia-wide expansion in countries like Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia etc concurrently. The machine-free training approach utilizing only free weights (barbell, dumbbells, wall balls, TRX, bands) has allowed MOVE's startup cost to be kept lower than industry average. With premium fees targeting the T20 market, the profit margin is able to sit above the industry average. Additionally, the small spaces of no more than 1700sqft per studio contribute to the low monthly operating cost which helps increase the profit margin while lowering the risk of "lockdown effect".
