Moteev is a retail-tech startup building Africa’s fastest, most reliable online supermarket. We combine a grocery shopping app, neighborhood storage hubs, and a delivery fleet to keep homes stocked with essentials in under 40 minutes. Our customers are busy young professionals and students who value convenience and productivity. Instead of wasting hours on errands or relying on unreliable motorcycle riders, they use Moteev to order from a growing catalog of 800+ products, including fresh produce, pantry staples, and meat from trusted suppliers like Zambeef. Moteev currently operates in five neighborhoods with five delivery agents, four supplier partnerships, and over 780 registered users. To date we’ve processed 280+ orders and secured a non-dilutive $50,000 grant (Aug 2025) to accelerate growth. Our business model blends an average 11% markup on products with delivery fees (~$1.50 per order). Our vision is to scale Moteev into Africa’s online supermarket of choice, launching across Lusaka and beyond to 5+ countries in the next four years, offering 20,000 products, and serving thousands of daily deliveries. We’re intentionally building a different way to shop for everyday essentials for a need traditional shopping has failed to take care of.
