Laava Tech is a start-up working on an artificial lighting system to improve yield for greenhouse operators around the world. Their proprietary software controls LED lights to give each plant the best possible growing conditions. In addition to improving yield, they can also decrease energy consumption significantly. Their LEDs use 2-10 times less energy than some of the current lighting systems in greenhouses, and the lifetime of their lamps is up to 10 times the lifetime of most current systems. Their products are more economical, more environmentally friendly, and produce a higher yield than most current solutions on the market.
