KMK Munai JSC is an enterprise formed in 2004 through the merger of Kokzhide Munai LLP, Kumsay Munai LLP, and Mortuk Munai LLP. Previously, the enterprise was named KKM Operating Company and Lancaster Petroleum. In connection with the arrival of new shareholders, on March 29, 2010, the Company continued its development with a new name “KMK Munay”. KMK Munai is a private joint-stock company with Subsoil Use Contracts for the Kokzhide, Kumsay, Mortuk oil fields located in the Aktobe region, Republic of Kazakhstan. KMK Munai JSC is connected to the main oil pipeline of KazTransOil JSC, which connects the field infrastructure with the Kenkiyak-Atyrau and Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipelines. The Kenkiyak-Atyrau pipeline serves as the main oil export route for oil companies, including KMK Munai in the region, and in turn, is linked to the Russian Transneft pipeline and CPC systems with export outlets to the Black and Baltic Seas. Through the Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipeline, oil is transported and supplied to the domestic market (refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Shymkent, Pavlodar)) and exports to the People's Republic of China.
