Kimengi is the startup behind launching a new kind of recommendation product november 1st, 2011 - in private beta. At this time Kimengi is not revealing any specifications about this product except that it’s a news reader app representing content from an intelligent recommendation network. This new product results from FdForward Alpha. Kimengi launched their first public bèta version of FdForward in july 2009. At that time it was a widget based recommendation network, in july 2009. This widget transformed into a network news reader. Kimengi was the last two years busy building a new recommendation system that could overcome the problems online news distribution via social media or the current recommendation apps face. After an extended alpha-phase since April 2011, with dozens of active users - Kimengi used the data and feedback from this extensive testing to finalize the product for beta stage. Kimengi spent the last two years building a new recommendation engine that could overcome the problems that apps and services in the online and social media news distribution face. This engine exemplifies the next step in the evolution of (social) networks.
