iversity makes higher education more accessible, personalised and affordable. The company offers online courses on an academic level. It enables a global community of learners to choose from a multitude of courses from a range of disciplines such as engineering to philosophy, and from design to biology. Users can access all courses on the platform for free. Participants have to pay, however, in order to receive a certificate and a grade upon successful completion of a courses. Some of the courses on the platform confer ECTS credits that count within the traditional, offline university system. Headquartered in the German region of Berlin-Brandenburg, the company primarily cooperates with universities and professors from Europe. Instructors can use the platform iversity.org to create innovative didactical formats that include multimedia learning materials and direct feedback to the students. iversity enables learners to study anywhere – at universities from around the globe, no matter where they are.
