TomorrowData has built iottly, a software tool for Low-level Remote Control, and Telemetry application. Iottly consists of two parts: the software (agent) to be installed on the devices permanently connects to a cloud-based device maintenance platform via lightweight and robust MQTT protocol with certificate-based encryption and authentication. The agent can be installed on any embedded device running Linux: from surveillance Cameras to Connected Machines, from Biomedical Equipment to Industrial Automation Systems, from Access Control Systems to Building Management Systems. The technician then uses the cloud web interface is so able to take full control of the device, with the traditional tools he is used to, like ssh, with no requirements for inconvenient network configurations. We also provide APIs to automate tasks like massive upgrades or generate notifications based on health checks of devices. Finally, the agent is customizable with python scripts, like macros, to add personalized remote controls.
