Hengyi Industries engages in developing petrochemicals through innovation and business sustainability. ) It is the largest overseas investment by a private Chinese enterprise and the largest foreign direct investment in Brunei Darussalam. The refinery and integrated petrochemical project will be completed in two phases. Hengyi Industries achieved successful Phase 1 operations in November 2019 after 2.5 years of construction and 2.5 months of active commissioning activities. The second phase includes plans for further expansion of the aromatics and cracker plant, providing the building blocks for the petrochemical industry in Brunei Darussalam.
