GOM is web VPN in a chrome extension that uses a mix of tunneling technologies, including SPDY SSL proxies, OpenVPN, and IPSEC to redirect its users’ traffic around firewalls that block access to web servers. The VPN accelerates users’ browsing with SPDY technology to download webpages in a single connection, parallelized. Users can bypass geographical censorship with Gom by rerouting their browsing traffic through its network. Gom’s network is designed to filter malware, advertising, and phishing sites. GOM is also available on Firefox , Android, and iOS platforms.
