ExcellGene was founded by very experienced Biotechnologists who belong to the pioneers of the protein-based pharmaceutical industry. Founders of the company, spun-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), have a total experience span of over 50 years in cell culture based manufacturing and research. ExcellGene is a self-funded company with clients from all-over the world, in business since 2001. ExcellGene’s service offer covers the entire value chain from DNA vector to protein product made by CHO or any other animal cells in bioreactors ranging from the milliliter scale to the multi-hundred liter scale of operation. They respect the most stringent regulatory concerns and provide entire process descriptions to their clients, exceeding FDA and EMEA rules. ExcellGene’s is a science driven company that uses unique protein expression technologies (stable/transient) and manufacturing processes for CHO, HEK-293 or insect cells.
