The Ehime Medical Co-op has been around for 40 years since the merger of the three co-ops in 1981, but considering the history from its predecessor, the Peace Clinic (Niihama City), which was established in 1952, it has a history of nearly 70 years. The reason for the development during this period is that we have adhered to the "health promotion campaign to be created together with local residents" and have been doing it on the principle of "openness and equality". Initially, there was a time when we suffered from a shortage of doctors, but we have grown into a business establishment that can contribute to the community by securing and training doctors who can sympathize with the philosophy of the medical co-op. As a community activity, we are actively creating venues for each branch, expanding the connection between people, requiring nearly 50,000 union members in the prefecture, and contributing to "town development" in each region. We have also carried out social security campaigns and peace campaigns aimed at indiscriminate and equal medical care.
