Desktoptwo is another contender in the market of internet based "operating systems". Developed by parent company, Sapotek, Desktoptwo remains in beta as of December 2007. It claims to have acquired more than 160,000 active users since its launch in August 2006. Desktoptwo is fully web-based and requires Flash player to operate. A key, and possibly winning, feature is the hard drive application. Users are given 1 GB of free storage on Desktoptwo.
