Coolio is a UK start up based at the University of Warwick Science Park. Drawing on the co-founders' expertise with and declared love of areas such as financial markets analysis, descriptive and inferential statistic modelling, graph, computational modelling and Psychology, Coolio is developing a number of complementary technologies to bring these powerful tools to bear in a number of different use cases. Very much from the 'school of Apple' and placing an incredibly high value on UI, design and user experience, Coolio's first product will be a consumer app in the recommendation space. It utilises super-scale latent variable analysis of life's ephemerality and offers the user the very first truly personalised big-data, 'human-like' digital assistant. For the CEO, James Clyne, the overriding goal is to deliver products where 'there is never any negotiation with technology. Technology should simply be an elegant extension of a user; inhibited or activated merely by that user's will'.
