As of today, there are no medical imaging modalities capable of detecting brain concussions, the only way to do so is via a pen and paper test which can only be performed by trained professionals. Hence, no diagnosis leads to no proper rest, which leads to a higher risk of repeated brain trauma which leads to long-term effects and chronic diseases such as Alzheimer's or CTE. At C-MedTec we are developing an innovative method for the detection and monitoring of brain concussions in order to promote and provide a safer sports practice.
