Blue Sense Networks are makers of iBeacon compatible beacons and proximity applications. Their beacons are based on Bluetooth Low Energy and together with a smartphone can be used to provide hyper-local context to everyday objects and places. Blue Sense Networks' BlueBar beacon is a slim, battery operated device that broadcasts an iBeacon compatible signal at regular intervals. The signal can be picked up by any BLE enabled smartphone, and depending on the application can be used to send relevant information to the user about their location, presence and surrounding area. The beacons are able to work continuously for up to two years on a single battery and have a configurable range from several inches to more than 200 feet. Blue Sense Networks also provide a free SDK and access to an advanced cloud-based beacon management platform. Using this combination of tools developers are able to create rich, hyper-local applications that increase engagement and provide relevant information at unprecedented detail. The beacons are already available and shipping worldwide.
