Arava Power Company is Israel's leading solar developer and a pioneer in mid-size and large-size solar fields. Using photovoltaic technology, Arava Power Company brings solar power to Israel without emissions, smoke, noise or use of water. Founded in 2006, Arava Power Company seeks to supply hundreds of megawatts of green energy to Israel through alliances with kibbutzim, Negev Bedouin, and other Negev landowners. In 2009, Siemens partners with Arava Power Company and invested $15 million to acquire a 40% stake in the company. JNF-KKL also invested in Arava Power Company and the company became the first and only private company investment for JNF-KKL.
