Albany Academy is a highly successful co-educational 11-16 school in Chorley and is one of the top-performing non-selective schools in Lancashire. Opened in 1960, we celebrated our 60th anniversary in 2020. In addition to providing students with a world-class academic education, the school develops students as confident individuals who are aware of their roles and responsibilities in society. Albany Academy is a forward-thinking school and has specialist status in science and was one of the first schools in the country to convert to academy status.
