It focuses on a large scale, energy-efficient, suburban, and brownfield food production opportunities using advanced greenhouses and hydroponic climate control to supply urban areas with fresh produce whilst maintaining the quality, safety, and sustainability expected by consumers. AGR1 uses "sun based" growing systems combined with optimized greenhouses and advanced hydroponic climate control to produce high-quality fresh produce in tropical lowland regions close to major cities. It was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Johor Baharu, Malaysia.
