Create and launch a cold email campaign

Set up leads, message steps, senders, limits, and schedule, then monitor the campaign.

A campaign sends a sequence through selected connected mailboxes to an approved audience. Creating the draft does not start delivery. Complete the leads, sequence, options, and schedule, then review the campaign before launch.

What do I need before creating it?

Prepare a named lead list with a documented source, valid addresses, and suppression applied. Connect at least one authorized sender. Decide who will review replies and own the CRM follow-up. Check plan capacity and any workspace approval process before starting.

How do I create the draft and audience?

  1. Open Campaigns → Add New, enter an internal name, and continue. The draft should appear in the campaign list.
  2. In Leads, add a list, import a file or Google Sheet, or use another option shown by your workspace. Check the imported count and rejected rows.
  3. Remove duplicates, invalid addresses, contacts already approached, and anyone who opted out. Open a few records to confirm name, company, and custom fields will render correctly.

How do I build the sequence and sending rules?

  1. In Sequences, write the first email and any follow-ups. Set a delay for each step. Preview a lead with missing data and add safe fallbacks where available.
  2. Send an internal test. Read it as a recipient: check the subject, links, formatting, sender identity, and unsubscribe path.
  3. In Options, select connected mailboxes, then review daily and new lead limits, tracking, reply behavior, and any company level send limit.
  4. In Schedule, choose the start date, sending days, time window, and timezone. Check the next eligible send time shown by the app.

What should I do before and after launch?

Review the audience and every active step. Confirm the sending account is healthy and the schedule is correct, then launch and verify the campaign changes to its active state. Watch sends, bounces, replies, and opt-outs in Analytics and Unibox. Pause future sends if you find a sender, audience, or message problem. Assign qualified replies to an owner and record the next action in CRM.

If no messages send, check campaign status, schedule, mailbox connection, limits, and eligible leads in that order. For the full control reference, see Create and operate a campaign.
