Connect a Google mailbox from Email Accounts. Dureach may offer Google sign in or an IMAP based path, depending on the account and wizard. Choose the path shown for your mailbox; an administrator may need to change Google Workspace access before you can finish.
What should I prepare?
Sign in to the Google account you intend to connect. For Google Workspace, ask an administrator whether third party app access is restricted. Keep the Dureach wizard open so you can use its current app name and client ID if the administrator needs them. Confirm you are in the right Dureach workspace; a successful Google authorization can still connect a mailbox to the wrong workspace.
How do I use Google sign in?
- Open Email Accounts → Add New → Connect existing accounts → Google and choose the Google sign in option offered in the wizard.
- If Workspace blocks the app, an administrator can open Google Admin → Security → Access and data control → API controls → Manage app access. Search using the client ID displayed by Dureach, review the requested scope, and allow access only if it fits your organization’s policy.
- Return to Dureach, choose Login, select the intended Google account, and review Google’s consent screen. Approve the requested access if authorized.
- Back in Email Accounts, confirm the address and connected state. Run a connection or internal send test before putting the mailbox into a live campaign.
What if the wizard asks me to enable IMAP?
Follow that wizard path for the selected account. In Gmail on a computer, open Settings → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP, review the IMAP access setting, and save any change. Google Workspace may also restrict IMAP at the organization level. Return to the wizard only after the setting is saved. Do not create an app password unless the wizard explicitly requires one and your administrator permits it.
How do I fix a failed connection?
If the wrong account appears, select Use another account or retry in a private browser window. If authorization is denied, ask the Workspace administrator to check app access and the exact error. If Google succeeds but Dureach still shows disconnected, check the account status and permissions in Email Accounts, then retry once. Send support the workspace, mailbox address, time, and redacted error; never send a password or authorization code.
