The goal of Zed Industries, a small but dedicated team, is to create the finest text editor possible. Not our first director, Zed. It represents the result of more than ten years of expertise in creating tools for developers. We developed the hackable text editor Atom and the ground-breaking software framework Electron, which gave rise to a completely new class of desktop applications. The most well-known editors in the world use Tree-sitter, a sophisticated syntax parsing system that we also created. It is ingrained in our DNA to create useful instruments.
