Web Commodore company profile

Web Commodore is a digital notary service designed to help creators and rights holders to protect their digital IP. It offers an evidence service which generates timestamped proof of online publication as well as evidence of the existence of any digital asset at a specific moment in time. As Web Commodore retains the chain of custody of all proof it generates, Web Commodore digital evidence is admissible in court. Use cases for online publication evidence include copyright, online reputation, proof of compliance, brand monitoring and protection as well as competitive monitoring. In addition, Web Commodore's digital proof service has applications for creative works such as photographs, images, designs, music, scripts and other digital creations as well as research data, trade secrets, contracts and documents, data logs (big data) and all other digital assets. Web Commodore's Image Proof service not only generates such digital evidence in the form of Digital Proof Tokens for visual creations, but also generates a steganographically and cryptographically signed version of such visual works for the owner to use for sharing and (online-) distribution. The signature is invisible to the eye but survives most common transformations such as image resizing or cropping. This helps prove the authenticity, provenance and integrity of such visual works as it is encountered online. All of Web Commodore's digital proof is registered by both a central authority (Web Commodore as a digital notary) but also in a decentralised way via the creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the public blockchain, where such evidence can be independently verified.
