Virtual Run Co's Mission is to inspire and reward people of all ages and abilities to sustain a natural balance and healthy lifestyle by participating in virtual runs that support charity. What is a Virtual Run? -Participants select their distance for an event (i.e. 5K, 10K, 13.1). -Register for the event. -Complete their distance within the event timeframe (typically a month). -Once the distance is complete, post a selfie, runfie, collage to the Facebook Event. -Complete a Race Report on the website. -Participants receive a custom die cast medal and other swag for completing their distance. -At the end of the event, a portion of the profits are donated to the charity for that event. Virtual Run Co was established in 2014 and had a very successful year. We hosted 7 events which generated $6,300 donated to various charities. Not only did our community help others, they also reached several milestones and goals along the way. In 2015, we are looking to double our donation amount and more than double participants in our event. In order to help us enrich the experience and lives of others, we want to create a Mobile App that will provide features to streamline the process as well as grow our community.
