VETSON arms veterinarians with a platform to provide farmers with managed healthcare for their livestock. Veterinarians remotely monitor the health of livestock under their care with VETSON’s body temperature and activity sensors. VETSON’s AI alerts farmers, and when needed their veterinarians to proactively address animal ailments and breeding opportunities. The healthcare platform allows veterinarians to dispense advice and prescription medications to farmers, monitor herd health compliance, and schedule onsite service calls as required. It also reduces the burden of mandatory compliance reporting with advanced automation. As regulation has increased so too has the distance from farm to veterinarian, making regular veterinarian visits impractical. As a result, veterinary practices are evolving into consultation-based services. Veterinarians dispense treatments, remedies, and prescriptions to farmers who in turn spend up to three hours a day administering to the health of their livestock and the safety of their product. Compliance has similarly evolved into a combination of self-reporting, surprise inspections, and bi-annual veterinary audits. Emerging regulations require greater oversight from veterinarians, more comprehensive record-keeping, less reliance on medication, and increased scrutiny on product safety and animal welfare – in an environment where veterinarians are increasingly absent.
