Over 300 clients are currently using Unwire's gateway technology for products such as Mobile NFC Wallets, Online Mobile Wallets, Payment Gateway API, SMS Voting, SMS Marketing, SMS Gateway API, SMS Tickets, App Tickets, and Mobile Ticketing API. In 2012, Unwire bought Danish mobile payments company, Pertura, and Swedish mobile ticketing and validation company inmodo. Unwire’s clients include: Arla Foods, Bonnier, Carlsberg, Copenhagen Airport, Danske Bank, DART (Dallas Rapid Transit), Dong, DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation), DSB (Danish State Railways), Egmont, Jyske Bank, Movia, Nordea Bank, Orange, Telenor, TDC, the SAS Group, and Sony BMG. The company was founded in 1999, has its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is further represented in Germany, Norway, Sweden and the US. Unwire is owned by the Danish investment fund, Maj Invest.
