Unimedic has extensive experience and expertise in the manufacturing, development, distribution, sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals. Today the company is one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in Scandinavia and has a three-year sales increased from 100 million to 600 million. Drug Operations in Matfors started in the mid 1960s as a district laboratory and was the past extemporeapotek in Sundsvall who is also privately owned. In the 1970s, the pharmacies were nationalized in Sweden and the plant in Matfors became part of the state ACO. In the 1980s the factory was owned first by Kabi, and later of Pharmacia.
