Thor-Ice Chilling Solutions ehf. specializes in making and managing Slurry Ice systems for rapid chilling of fish, poultry and other food products. Since 2002 THOR-ICE has been at the forefront of developing and implementing technology that uses Slurry Ice, often called flow ice. Flo-ice, binary ice, sjapis, Ice Slurry and other names, in the food processing industry. As Thor-Ice management has recognized the demand for proper and rapid chilling of various raw foodstuff, years of extensive engineering, mechanical, biological and business know how have been used for product and production development. They have joined with respected scientists in Iceland, Denmark and Holland, and with food research institutes and leading food processors to develop and install technology with one common objective: To improve the freshness, quality and safety of food products while delivering environmental friendly solutions.
