Conceived by Africa’s Sovereign Development Trust®, the United African Defence Force© (UADF) is a strategic initiative designed to confront the pressing and multifaceted security challenges facing the continent. These challenges include persistent terrorism in the Sahel region, enduring instability in the Horn of Africa, exploitative actions by foreign entities, and numerous internal and interstate conflicts affecting Africa’s fifty-four sovereign nations. The UADF aims to unify these nations under a singular, resilient defence structure that promotes regional stability, reduces dependence on external military assistance, and firmly defends African sovereignty against undue foreign influence. Central to its mission is the establishment of a Unified African Maritime Border to protect vital coastal and maritime interests critical to the continent’s economic and security landscape. To ensure operational effectiveness, the UADF will implement comprehensive capacity-building initiatives across member states. These include rigorous training programs, equipping forces with state-of-the-art technology, and developing a centrally managed operational command center. These elements collectively form a cohesive, highly capable, and responsive force, fully prepared to address a broad spectrum of security threats within the framework of the African Federation Treaty.
