Movement disorders, conditions such as stroke and age-related deterioration affect millions worldwide, who suffer from limited movement capabilities along with all the consequences. Taka Apps was founded by experts in accessible technology, neuroscience and behavioural science who want to put their knowledge about how the brain orchestrates voluntary movements to use and make applications that change the daily lives of those suffering by these conditions by actively improving their symptoms, independence and health. We are developing personalised, game-like, digital therapeutic interventions using technology that acts like neural-level workout for the brain circuits controlling movement. We want to bring the world of gamification and digital therapeutics together, creating engaging and efficacious personalised digital therapeutics, as a 21st century answer to assistive health technologies.
