Sumtec offers material measurement software for domestic research institutes and companies. Sumtech Co., Ltd. was established on July 7, 2004, and started operations on August 1, 2004, with the aim of commercializing the results of many years of research by Professor Yoshio Kobayashi, Faculty of Engineering, Saitama University. It is the first venture company from Saitama University since it became a national university corporation in April.
