Startup Madeira company profile

Established in 1997, Startup Madeira is an incubation center, whose goal is to contribute to the emergence of startup companies, supporting them in the early stages and the aggregation of value, contributing to boosting the business environment of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Portugal. Startup Madeira´s main stakeholder is the Regional Government of Madeira, allowing us to be a regional instrument for boosting entrepreneurship, innovation, and the local ecosystem. Startup Madeira runs an incubator, providing services of physical incubation, virtual office, and co-work space to entrepreneurs. We are a full member of EBN - European Business and Innovation Centres Network. It allows additional support in the development of innovative projects, in such important matters as exportation to foreign markets, internationalization/transnational cooperation, exchange of experiences, transfer of know-how and technology, as well as contacts with other enterprises supported by the innovation centers. It also contributes to an efficient and prompt connection with other programs and entities linked to the European Union. Besides local programs, mainly for local people and regional entrepreneurs, such as rs4e, startNOW, start4TECH, Startup Madeira also runs international initiatives such as Madeira Startup Retreat, Gaming Startup Retreat, HUB Azul Madeira. It’s important to work with several sectors that are/will add value to the island, such as Technology, Tourism, Travel, Gaming, Blue Economy, and Sustainability, and keep following researchers and entrepreneurs who are creating solutions in the areas of Health, AgriFood & FoodTech, Social Impact, and Fintech (among others)…
