Southern Alliance Mining is producer of high-grade iron ore products and supplies to steel companies. The company had started the Chaah Mine in 2008 and is still operational. The iron ore from the Mine has unique natural characteristics such as high specific gravity and viscosity, that makes it a highly sought-after raw material for pipe coating companies in the oil and gas industry’s subsea segment. It also has a low level of impurities, which allows to produce high-grade iron ore concentrate of up to Fe grade of 65%.The company has three ongoing exploration projects: Mao’Kil, Chaah Baru and Kota Tinggi. The company has an approximate monthly production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of iron ore concentrates. The company also supply crushed iron ore to pipe coating companies. When used as a coating for sub-sea pipes, it can help to prevent corrosion in these pipes.
