Solstice Renewables as a small, independent solar farm developer, motivated by the belief that renewable energy is critically important for reducing the UK’s carbon emissions and our future energy security, Solstice is proud of our track record. Between 2013 and 2016 we developed 13 solar farms totalling 118 MegaWatts (MW) capacity – now generating enough renewable electricity to power approximately 35,000 typical homes. Another four sites received planning consent but have not yet been built due to the changes in government policy. Our unique approach to development ensured sites are well hidden; prioritised good relationships with local communities and generous financial and educational benefits; and maintains ongoing agricultural use and best practice in biodiversity and ecological improvements.
