Shamiri Health is a Hypergrowth HealthTech Startup making mental healthcare affordable and accessible in Sub - Saharan Africa and the global markets. Founded in Harvard University and launched in Kenya, Shamiri Health is the fruit of over four years of research and $3 million in development funding through our non-profit arm Shamiri Institute. Shamiri Health is on a mission to make psychotherapy affordable and accessible in underserved regions of the world, starting with Africa. We enable users to access a wide range of caregiving options ranging from effective low-touch therapy to one-on-one therapy through a tiered caregiving model where users are matched to lay-providers, social workers, and therapists depending on clinical need. Care is provided on our community-oriented platform called Rafi where users turn their lived experiences into shareable art and connect with new friends and a community that understands them.
