Company profile

Saninudge company profile

Saninudge was founded in 2015 by Theis Jensen and Morten Egholm, two Technical University of Denmark graduates. With their backgrounds in science, engineering, and design, Theis and Morten took on the challenge of Hospital-Acquired Infections by applying the principles of nudging to hand hygiene. Saninudge is a simple and affordable hand-hygiene management system. We provide hospital staff with a hospital-wide sensor network that can track healthcare workers, patients and guests hand hygiene compliance while transmitting usage data wirelessly to our web-based application. Lack of hand sanitation is the biggest driver of hospital-acquired infections, which result in over 37,000 deaths per year as well as €5 billion in additional costs to the European healthcare system. Our solution results in a reduction in costs and preventable deaths for hospitals, while freing up beds so more patients can be treated. We bring transparency and accountability to hand hygiene, driving behavior change and lowering infection rates.
