The Re-company was founded by an experienced team of ex-Procter&Gamble managers with the aim of reinventing common products to have a positive impact on the planet and society. Our first product is REBO, the first bottle that helps to clean the planet and to reduce poverty as its users drink from it. For every REBO drunk, we record a credit into the blockchain and monetize them through sponsors. The funds go Plastic Bank, an organization that pays people in underprivileged communities in emerging countries (Haiti, Brazil, Philippines and Indonesia) to collect ocean-bound plastic waste, paying a “Social Plastic” premium rate (3 to 5 times the market value) to ensure them a consistent and liveable income. The REBO app also alerts people to stay hydrated through regular reminders to drink water. REBO has been co-developed in partnership with APTAR, the world’s leader in innovative dispensing systems. REBO is under preliminary review for Gold Standard certification.
