OxyGEN company profile
OxyGEN is an open hardware project to build an emergency mechanism that automates an AMBU type manual ventilator in extreme shortage situations such as the one caused by a coronavirus (COVID-19) in some parts of the world. It was developed by a group of professionals led by the company Protofy.xyz, with the scientific support of the Hospital Clínic, Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, and the UB of Barcelona. There are 2 different versions of OxyGEN. The maker version OxyGEN-M and the industrial version OxyGEN-IP. OxyGEN-M is designed for makers and can be built using common tools and no special machinery or materials are needed. OxyGEN-IP is the version for industrial-scale production. Foldforming metalworking machinery and engineering knowledge is needed to build OxyGEN-IP.
