The ProDeaf is a text and voice translation software for Portuguese Libras, the Brazilian Sign Language. The company was founded in 2010 in order to help with communication between deaf and hearing-impaired. ProDeaf has already won great partners such as Wayra Brasil, Telefônica's business accelerator, and Bradesco Seguros, which has its website interpreted in Libras. In 2012, the ProDeaf was elected partner of Microsoft LATAM Year in the category Citizenship and elected by the Brazilian Federation of Banks as the most innovative design-CIAB Febraban. ProDeaf has a multidisciplinary team composed of programmers, linguists, designers, translators and Deaf - that help the group in understanding the Libras and the daily hardships experienced by those with disabilities.
