Cofounded by Craig Marks, former top editor of Spin, Blender, and Billboard magazines, [Popdust](http://popdust.com/) is purpose-built to train a critical, often funny lens on the Popular/Top 40 music genre. Popdust was launched in February of 2011 with the direct participation of top-tier pop, hip-hop and country artists, who appear in original multimedia franchises. Popdust regularly creates and airs episodic original video content including [Magic Box](http://popdust.com/2011/06/13/christina-perri-magic-box-interview/), [Dear Dr. Popstar](http://popdust.com/2011/05/25/pete-wentz-black-cards-dear-doctor-popstar-bebe-rexha/), and [A Little Bit Obsessed](http://popdust.com/2011/05/12/lmfao-the-secret-a-little-bit-obsessed/). The company secured a $1 million Series A Round of financing led by Lerer Ventures on Feb. 3, 2011. Popdust is a portfolio company of [Gramercy Labs](http://gramercylabs.com/), founded by Kevin Fortuna, Philip James, Craig Marks and David Wade in 2010.
