PANCRYOS is a spin-out arising from the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Biology (DanStem) at the University of Copenhagen. The company is aiming to develop a next generation stem cell derived allogeneic cell therapy (PanINSULA) for type 1 diabetes. Based on novel IP, PANCRYOS enables the definitive safety and large scale manufacturing of insulin cells for therapeutic use. PANCRYOS is in the pre-clinical stage of development and is addressing cost-effective scalability and manufacturing of the cell therapy early on to ensure successful commercialization.
