Nuenz is successfully scaling up advanced production technologies for the production of silicon nitride submicron fibres. The company has developed a patent-pending process which has been shown to produce high quality ceramic fibers using inexpensive raw materials and which appears capable of scaling to commercial volumes. There is significant potential for the application of these high performance fibers in ceramic-, metal-, and polymer-matrix composites in a broad range of market segments including automotive, aerospace, cutting tool, wear, and structural markets. Nuenz is focused on establishing a world-class product which can be made and sold on an international basis through its own efforts and by utilizing strategic partnerships, licensing, and joint venture arrangements.
