Nemaska Lithium intends to become a lithium hydroxide supplier and lithium carbonate supplier to the emerging lithium battery market that is largely driven by electric vehicles. The Company is located in the mining friendly jurisdiction of Quebec, Canada. Nemaska Lithium has received a notice of allowance of a main patent application on its proprietary process to produce lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate. The company is pursuing patent protection on this process in multiple global jurisdictions. In tandem, the company is developing one of the richest spodumene hard rock lithium deposits in the world, both in volume and grade. Spodumene concentrate produced at Nemaska's future lithium mine (Whabouchi) and from other global sources will be shipped to the company's lithium hydroxide/carbonate processing plant to be located in Shawinigan, Quebec. This plant will transform spodumene concentrate into high purity lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate for the growing lithium battery market which is driven by the increasing demand for electric vehicles and large-scale lithium battery storage. The Nemaska Whabouchi spodumene deposit, located in the Eeyou Istchee / James Bay Region of Quebec, Canada, near the Cree community of Nemaska, should have an initial lithium mine life of 26 years.
