Nasseo, Inc. ("Nasseo") is a medical device company that has developed next-generation nanotube implant surface technology ("TiArray") that provides clinicians and patients with better dental and orthopedic implant treatment options. Nasseo's TiArray nanotechnology alters the natural oxide layer of the implant material (Ti, Ta, Zi, CoCr, etc) to create a uniformed nanotube array surface that has shown stronger bonding, faster healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and soft tissue response benefits in over 10 years of preclinical R&D at UCSD. Nasseo's first product, the TiArray Dental Implant, has received FDA approval and post-market human clinical trials will be conducted in 2014. Nasseo is also developing a second product which is a Titanium-PEEK hybrid interbody fusion device (spinal cage implant) that also integrates TiArray nanotechnology.
